This truth was recently underscored when our Creative Director Brady Skye was recently nominated for Best Original Screenplay at the 2025 Burbank International Film Festival (BIFF) — a prestigious celebration of independent filmmaking now in its 17th year.

Anyone who’s stepped into the film world knows just how fierce the competition can be. Thousands of scripts are submitted each year, and in this case, only five rose to the level of finalists.

BIFF, held September 23–28 in the media capital of the world, Burbank, California, is a powerhouse event supported by Warner Bros., Netflix, Disney, and other industry giants. This year’s festival honored Quentin Tarantino with its Vanguard Award, placing emerging voices like Brady’s alongside some of cinema’s most iconic storytellers.
